Node Size
In CorelDRAW X5, monitors are becoming more prevalent, making it more difficult to choose nodes with the shape tool. So, in X5, you may now increase the node size. Select “Tools” and “Options” from the menu to bring you to the “Edit” page.
Freehand Tool
Holding Shift lets you erase a section of the curve, which has improved in X4.
While sketching with the left mouse button down, you can reposition the entire curve by holding the right mouse button.
Point Curve Tool
Holding Shift while entering the third point ensures the parabola is symmetrical.

How to Use?
- Open CorelDRAW, press Ctrl + N to start a new document, and then choose your page size/units from the drop-downs on the Properties bar.
- Drawing Shapes: Select the Rectangle (F6) or Ellipse (F7) tool. Hold down Ctrl to draw perfect squares or circles.
- To create bespoke curves, use the Freehand or Bezier tool.
- Reshaping: To bend lines or change text spacing, select the Shape tool (F10) and drag the nodes (blue squares).
